WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS OF ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?

Results are noticeable within a few days, with optimum results becoming apparent at around 2 weeks post-treatment. The treatment can last up to 6 months, after which time a top-up treatment may be required.

HOW LONG IS RECOVERY TIME?

There is no downtime with anti-wrinkle injections, although patients may be advised to stop taking medications such as aspirin and limit alcohol intake prior to the appointment to minimise chances of bruising

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER HAVING ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?

 – Do not lay down or lean forward for 4 hours after treatment.

– Do not apply makeup in the area for 24 hours

– Do not rub or touch the area for at least 4 hours post treatment

– Do not have hot baths, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms or Jacuzzi’s for 24 hours post treatment

– No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.

– No excessive alcohol consumption on the day of the treatment.

– Avoid intentional and direct sunlight for 24 hours. Do not use tanning beds.

– No swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

– Do not use ibuprofen following the treatment for 2 weeks.

– For at least three days post-treatment = do not use any products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything other ‘active’ skincare.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR RISKS WITH ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
