How does a chemical peel work?

Chemical peels work by removing the upper layer of the skin and restoring the skin barrier, therefore improving imperfections and giving you a healthy glow

How many treatments will I need?
Depending on specific desired outcomes for specific skincare goals, the length of the course of treatments can differ for each individual. Although you will see improvements with 1 treatment, it is recommended for 2-4 treatments spaced 2-3 weeks apart

Is there any downtime?

The procedure may cause skin redness and slight irritation, although this is usually mild and only last1-3 days, it may also cause flaking and dryness of the skin, this usually starts around day 2-3 and may continue for a few days. These symptoms will gradually diminish over the course of a week as the skin returns to its normal appearance in around 7 days.

How long do results take to appear?
Chemical peels have different effects on individual skin, therefore results differ. You are most likely to see the best results after 2 weeks post treatment

Who are chemical peels suitable for?
SKINPROJECT peels are suitable for a wide range of clients, from skin types 1-6 and age 18+ across the range, targeting different skin concerns with each specific peel.

What type of chemical peel is best for me?

In the SKINPROJECT Nanopeel range, there are 3 chemical peels available. The clinician will choose the best option for your skin after assessing your skin and your skin goals.

Do chemical peels hurt?

There is a slight discomfort as the peel works its way into the skin, this will feel like a stinging or a heat, however this sensation only builds up towards the end of the peel is only on for a couple of minutes. If you find the peel uncomfortable iT can be neutralised in seconds. The heat will indicate it has got to the correct skin level.
